The Naked
Piano
In
March 2004 Gary Girouard turned his passion for the piano into a
music CD. Girouard released his debut album “The
Naked Piano”. The album is a tribute to the timeless
nature of the piano and features a collection of compositions that
blends classical, new age and pop influences into what the editor of
Boston Live hails as "a masterpiece...a testament to the
gracious sounds of a fluid live recording".
Gary has graciously permitted us to
share some of his brilliant artistry with our Pocket Tunes family of
users. We thank him for that most sincerely!
Gary has attached
a worthy cause to
The Naked Piano album - donating a
portion of each CD sale to The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp (www.holeinthewallgang.org)
a special place in Ashford, CT that provides a true camp
experience for children with cancer and serious blood disorders - a
place where Girouard worked as a volunteer session counselor between
1990 and 1999.

Our original
“Featured Artist” is back with a new album! Following up on his
critically acclaimed debut album The Naked
Piano, Gary Girouard continues to inspire and soothe our
souls with The Naked Piano, vol. II.
Taking steps forward in melodic and thematic development, The
Naked Piano II truly defines the
piano as a solo instrument - with singing and memorable melodies,
soothing harmonies and inspiring rhythmic motion.
Featuring 14
original compositions and almost 1 hour of music, the album blends
and weaves popular-inspired melodies with classical piano technique
and lush jazz influenced harmonies. The result is an album that is
inspirational in its message, therapeutic in its delivery and
timeless in its character.
As with the
original The Naked Piano,
The Naked Piano vol. II will also
have a portion of each sale going to charity. This time Gary has
selected the Team Bryce Charity (http://teambrycefund.org)
benefiting children with chronic disorders.
